Breathtaking Wildlife - Leopards of Jhalana.

Historically, tigers and leopards were common in the hill ranges of Rajasthan, including the Aravali range that is spread across Jaipur known as Jhalana. In the early 19th century, Jhalana was a popular hunting ground with eminent state officials being frequent visitors. The old Shikar Audhi (Hunting Palace) stands as a testament to its popularity. The last tiger was shot in 1948, and its cubs were relocated to the Jaipur Zoo. Since then, leopards have been the apex predator here.

Jhalana Safari Park is the best place to witness leopards and many other wild animals. It's a fantastic place away from the city. Enjoy a day from the hustle bustle and evidence the wildlife. You can see leopards, hyena, blue bull, deer, peacocks, monkeys and many other creatures. Come and explore the hidden wildlife area of Jaipur.

The Jhalana Leopard Reserve or Jhalana Safari Park is the Indias 1st Leopard Reserve located in Jaipur city of Rajasthan state, India. It is surrounded by Aravali hills, the oldest mountain series of India. Jhalana became a leopard reserve in 2017. The reserve is spread over an area of 20 square kilometers, with immense flora and fauna present in the park.

At present, there are 44 leopards in the park, including 31 adults and 13 cubs. Apart from leopards, the forest has various attractions such as 132 species of avifauna, 220 species of flora, 20 species of reptiles, to name a few.
